How to make a noticeable infographic from pictures in Microsoft PowerPoint
Infographics containing pictures can be used to make numbers look more interesting and engage the attention of the users of the reports. In this video you will see an infographic depicting the ticket sales of four tourist attractions of one travel destination using their pictures.
First add gridlines in Microsoft PowerPoint to work more accurately. Then insert a circle (choose the shape under Insert tab and Shapes, press down Shift and Ctrl keys, then double click and drag to keep its proportion and location of its center). Insert a square (choose the shape under Insert/Shapes, press down the Shift key, double click and drag to keep its proportion). Select both shapes and under Drawing Tools/Format tab select Merge Shapes and Intersect. Add two more smaller circles, subtract one from the slice and join the other one with it. Use the resulting shape to crop the first picture (again, select the picture and shape and use Drawing Tools/Format/Merge Shapes/Intersect). Repeat the cropping procedure three more times with other pictures, each time turning the shape 90 degrees further. Put the cropped pictures together, add a shadow in the Format Picture pane under Effects, and add text boxes with sales numbers in them (I prepared the boxes in advance and just pasted them all at once using the Ctrl+V key combination, you can add text boxes under the Insert tab and Text Box).
