STEP 2: Don’t wait! There is a 30-day waiting period for flood insurance policies. Contact your insurance agent today or visit https://www.floodsmart.gov/ for information on the National Flood Insurance Program.
STEP 3: Stay Away! It’s never a good idea to travel through a flooded wash. Six inches of water will knock you off your feet. 12 inches can float away your car.
