Today, we opened one of the stockings to see if the grapes that had turned green to blue were ripe. They were and tasted delicious!
I love growing as much food as possible organically in my home garden.
The mousebirds and grey lories also love the grapes- last year, I was not in JHB at the time of their ripening- thus, the birds got to snack on them all.
This year, Warren told me about his late mum's ( Wendy) tip of taking old stockings and covering the ripening grapes with them.
It works!
