On May 7th, 2024, police in Mount Dora responded to reports of a suspicious vehicle parked at a motel. Upon investigation, officers discovered a woman asleep in her car, which smelled strongly of marijuana. A search of the vehicle led to the discovery of marijuana under 20 grams. The situation escalated as the woman resisted orders, resulting in her arrest for possession of marijuana and resisting an officer without violence.
