I lead this exploration to a group of people I hang out with in the Headless Way. After I finished, one of my friend's said I needed to get off the call and go make it into a children's book. This is what came out. Enjoy and play along for best results!!!

The Symphony of Now

There’s a symphony that’s playing
Just stop, right now and listen.
If you have the ears to hear,
There’s no way you can miss it!

The music plays, no matter what.
And never disappears.
The symphony is present
For anyone that hears!

Let’s pretend the things you hear,
scattered all around
Are each a different instrument
In a symphony of sound.

The chirping of a bird is one.
The sound of cars another.
The rustling leaves play melodies
As they brush against each other.

The cricket plays his little legs,
Like tiny violins
So many parts to listen to
In this symphony I’m in!

The school bell is ringing!
There’s the mooing of a cow.
What instruments do you hear
When you listen to your now?

Can you hear all sounds at once,
By listening far and wide?
Are the sounds outside of hearing them
Or are they all inside?

When you hear the sound of thoughts.
Is it possible somehow
those voices too are instruments
Arising in the NOW!

The sound of this voice reading
Or the voices in the mind…
They’re both just music playing,
Each, a different kind.

Now here’s what’s super special.
It’s a secret so few know…
There’s a place from which sound comes
And a place which it will go!

It’s a secret Auditorium
That’s holding all the sounds.
Can you hear it’s made of Silence?
Can you see it has no bounds?

Listen! Listen carefully.
Now hear them both at once,
The music of the orchestra
And the stillness of the Silence!

If it holds all sounds at k no once,
How HUGE must this space be!
And if I’m the one that’s listening,
Could this silent space be me?

Cuz I am not the sounds I hear.
I’m the one that’s hearing.
I am not the things I see.;
They’re always disappearing!

I am not the things I feel.
Feelings can’t be me!
I can’t be what comes and goes.
Cuz I’m here constantly.

Tasting, touching,
Sensing, seeing
Hearing, smelling,
Simply being!

I don’t know what to make of this.
It’s such a big surprise.
Can I be what I can’t see
With my very own two eyes?

Oh my gosh, and golly gee.
I never ever knew
The part of me that I can’t see
Is the part that’s mostly true!

I’m more that just my body,
I’m more than just my thoughts.
I’m Spirit too and so, so HUGE
There’s nothing I am not!

My Essence is so vastly vast
It never ever ends.
I’m the auditorium
That eternally extends!

I hold all sounds within Myself
And marvel at the Glory.
I see now that I wasn’t taught
The whole entire story!

There’s a symphony inside me
That plays its perfect song.
And as the perfect space I AM,
I silently sing along.
