Storm on the Black Sea in Batumi 11/27/2023
A storm that originated in the Black Sea hit the coast of Batumi, causing significant damage to the city infrastructure. Part of the boulevard near the water park was almost completely destroyed. The water washes away the supports of the park's waterfront attractions and floods the coastal streets. Lake Ardagani is close to overflowing its banks. Small attractions, kiosks, and lighting poles were washed away. Several restaurants were partially destroyed. The Primorsky Boulevard, bike path and lawns are buried under hundreds of tons of sand and stones. According to meteorologists, this is the largest storm in the Black Sea in the last 100 years. By night the storm may intensify to 8 points.
