Let’s improve this Venom marvel legends action figure with these two quick modifications.
The 85th anniversary Venom action figure, a Walmart exclusive was in my radar for a long time and once I had it in my hands I realized that I needed a makeover.
First, Venom’s neck range of motion was very limited for a spider-man like character, so I decided to add more range by melting the plastic on the back of the neck with heated pliers. Why you asked? Well the pliers have a round contouring that would melt the plastic into a clean U-shape. Plastic residue was removed with an Exacto knife, the end result looks very clean and professional if you ask me.
Next, I decided to make Venom a pin-less figure, something that I wish Hasbro would’ve done from the beginning, but anyway. For this step I used a moldable black glue and filled the pinholes with it, then I let it dry for about 6-7 hours so it glues with the plastic. The glue had a lighter black color and I decided to paint it darker with paint and brush. I applied a personal touch and I didn’t describe in the video, by applying a matte finished coat.
