Enisala Fortress [Romania, Tulcea]
The ruins of the medieval Yeni-Sale fortress also known as Enisala or Herakleia (reconstructed in 1300) are 2 km from Enisala village, on a calcareous hill that dominates the area of the Babadag and Razim lakes which are large freshwater lagoons on the shores of the Black Sea in Romania, south of the Danube Delta and part of its World Heritage Site.
