Vinny is the CEO of Waitroom , a market-challenging video meeting solution that facilitates time-boxed, queue-based, streamlined meetings for groups of 10 or more people. He is also the chairman of the board and co-founder of Civic , a blockchain company that offers decentralized identity verification. Additionally, in 2018, he became a general partner in the top cryptocurrency investment fund, Multicoin Capital , an active investor and co-founder of South Africa’s leading venture capital firm, Newtown Partners , and has also led early-stage investments in successful startups like SweepSouth. Vinny was a Shark on Shark Tank South Africa, a Dragon on Dragon’s Den South Africa, and an Angel on National Geographic’s Undercover Angel, and co-wrote a book titled “I’m In: Essential Advice for Entrepreneurs.” Previously, Vinny was the co-founder and CEO of Gyft , a mobile gift card company that was bought by the global leader in payments, First Data Corporation.
