Data for Kids - How do we get data
To understand data, we need to understand what happens to data before it becomes facts and information in a table. As we discuss in our video What is Data, data is collected by observing, asking questions and taking measurements. There are a few steps in the process of obtaining data:

Data Sorting or Processing
Data Reporting
Data Analysis
The final step of data analysis includes graphs and charts to build an interesting data story that will inform and inspire action.
