Warhammer 40k: MEANEST BOSS in DARKTIDE, DAEMONHOST
DEAMONHOST Is just like it sounds, a demon in a human body as the host. How it got there and the rituals used & the humans attempting to use the deamon for there own agenda is one screwed up story. I'll leave some info on the Deamonhost below in the desciption.
We normally avoid the deamonhost at all costs cause its hard to come out on top after a fight with probably the meanest, deadliest boss in darktide. Until recently I assumed there was no way to win a fight with that unholy, evil, ugly creature & my advice is to always flank and bypass such a fight. This footage is during malice level.gameplay, The experience changes considerably on herasy leval. Here's what we know:
Daemonhost
An enemy type which will not attack unless aggravated first, which activates in three distinct stages. Initially it is found Inactive, laying on the ground in a fetal position. It can be heard from quite far away talking to itself. They may be tagged at range and can be snuck past, even at relatively close range, without issue.
When approached or weapons fire passes nearby, they will levitate into the air in an upward position and begin glowing (Activated). If further provoked through getting closer (the radius of which is larger than in the Inactive state), damaging it, or shining a flashlight on it, then it will enter its Enraged state.
When Enraged the daemon bursts through and kills its host, taking control of the corpse as it consumes their soul. It will then teleport to the nearest player (typically the one who activated it) and begin attacking both with its claws and its radiant corruption damage.
At higher difficulties, multiple Daemonhosts may spawn in close proximity. Great care must be taken to avoid activating multiple ones simultaneously as this frequently ends in a party wipe.
