This track is off of my latest album CHANGED (available at www.JPgotSAVED.com and all major distribution sites), and this was the first track I wrote after truly and fully surrendering my life to Christ. I knew in my heart 3 years ago that he was calling me into ministry with my music... to use my passions and gifts to share the gospel, glorify Him and point people to Him. But it took me almost two years after I was first convicted before I actually got to the point of surrendering. I had done my own thing my own way for so long... and I was worried about what surrendering would cost me... all that I would have to give up, what it would look like, what people would think, fans I might lose, what all would happen and change because of it. Well, the truth is following Jesus will cost you everything... we have to be totally sold out and all in and deny ourselves daily to seek first His Kingdom and His will above our own... but it is SO worth it! Once He allowed me to understand that and He settled it and gave me peace in my heart to know and trust that HIS way and HIS will for my life was far better than my own... I was able to surrender my heart, my mind, my music... my life! In an instant He set me free from so many of the things that had been holding me back and experiencing his true Spirit and power at work in my life! This is the song I wrote the day my surrender and going all in for Jesus happened! #CHANGED #ThankYouJesus
I pray this song blesses and encourages you! You may feel similar to how I felt and know in your heart that you need to surrender all to Jesus, but there are things that are keeping you from doing so... I pray the peace and love of God would flood and fill your heart and give you the strength and ability to throw off everything that is holding you back, holding you down, and keeping you from experiencing the fullness of who our Great God is and wants to be for you!
