Navy's FRSS Saves Life of Wounded African Soldier

Joint U.S./Niger military operations, in concert with the U.S. State Department, to provide anti-terrorism training and assistance in safeguarding national borders. During this mission, the U.S. Navy's new Forward Resuscitative Surgical System, or FRSS, provided lifesaving care to a Niger Soldier stabbed in the line of duty. This new field hospital initiative has also proven crucial recently in saving American lives in both Afganistan and Iraq.
