RAW to DNG conversion ruined the dates | Lightoom / Adobe DNG Converter Fix
I converted some .RW2 to DNG and now the date is wrong!
Mac seems to only let you organize by Date Create, Date Modified and Date something else. If we had the option to organize by the metadata DateTimeCreated – That should be copied across when you do this conversion, then you'd be fine.
But, I couldn't do that so I had to find another way!
Thankfully I had some software for such an occasion! 'A Better Finder Attributes' is my go-to for all sorts of mishaps and they seem to have the exact option I needed in this instance.
It's a common problem... Yet I found nothing on YouTube about how to fix it!
So here it is...
– Do a backup photo to test it works as you expect.
– Get A Better Finder Attributes. You can download a trial (https://www.publicspace.net/ABetterFi...)
– Open
– Drag files in
– Choose the option 'Copy EXIF content creation timestamp to file creation date'
– Run it!
If anyone knows a way to do this for free and to be able to do it batch, then please share below, if not.... its a $30 fix 😵 ☠️
