Adhan Prays Calling
The Adhan is the call announcing that it's time to start praying. It is made in a special way and is to invite the Muslim community to take part in prayer.
The Adhan proceeds as follows, saying:
Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar,
Allah Akbar, Allah Akbar,
(God is the Greatest. 4times)
Asch-hadu än laa ilaaha il Allah-la,
Asch hadu än it laa ilaaha il Allah,
(I bear witness that there is no deity but God. 2times)
Asch hadu anna Muhammadan Rassuulu Allah
Asch hadu anna Muhammadan Rassuulu Allah
(I bear witness that Muhammad is the Messenger of God. 2times)
Hayya alas-Salaa,
Hayya alas-Salaa,
(Come to prayer. 2times)
Hayya alal-Falaah,
Hayya alal-Falaah,
(Come to salvation. 2times)
Allah Akbar,
Allah Akbar,
(Allah is the Greatest. 2times)
Laa ilaha il Allah it.
