The Fairy Pitta Appreciation Society | Pitta nympha
When the news broke that a Fairy Pitta, Pitta nympha, had lost its way and turned up in a Bangkok park, I got in a car and raced to see this beautiful and globally scarce bird. I was able to watch this pitta at close quarters and study it before the heavens opened; but it turned out that I was far from the only bird watcher eager to see this Fairy Pitta bird. An exciting bird to see on a quick urban birding trip.
