Visitor interaction is enhanced through creating interactive photorealistic models of people, buildings and landscapes, which encourage and stimulate first time visitors and encourages them to return.
A collaboration between leading historians from the University of East Anglia, cutting edge Virtual Reality animators and GIS modellers; Virtual Past creates historically accurate interactive websites and computer models for use in education and the heritage industry. Our role is to create genuine interest, excitement and accessibility for your historical building, visitor attraction or educational centre.
Solutions provide new ways for visitors to interact with heritage buildings and visitor attractions before, during and after their visit; increasing visitor engagement and accessibility and enhancing educational experiences.
Solutions available range from basic models of buildings through to bespoke virtual reality landscapes capable of illustrating patterns of development over the centuries. Models can be populated by significant characters of their time, allowing the user to develop their relationship with the buildings, people and historical artifacts.
Each project is tailored to the client's needs and the funding available. We do this by working with you to determine the optimum technical solution and how this can best link with our historical expertise and the knowledge that exists within the client's organisation.
Some projects will require a greater amount of historical contextualisation. Some can be achieved with simple course models while others will benefit from more extensive interactive high quality applications.
