In this episode, I open the package with Battery Monitor 6. I received information from a viewer that BM6 would be more suitable for monitoring my energy storage than BK200, the equipment is supposedly similar but has completely different functionality for me.
After unpacking, I connected the BM6 to the laboratory power supply to estimate the current consumption, as it was visible during the episode, even the power supply did not experience any consumption, which is a good sign, it means that it will not introduce imbalance in the 24V battery system connected to only one 12V section.
The equipment looks quite OK, neatly made and apparently made of good components because it does not consume unnecessary electricity.
The software itself is not super extensive, but quite intuitive. After a few tries and clicking on the application, everything became clear and intuitive.
I managed to read the measurements from several days through two thick walls, so it's really great. I haven't tried to take the reading in the open, but who keeps batteries outdoors? 🤣
