Throughout our vast country, we still find ancient wonders that are living out their days, never to be seen in their full form by their descendants. Today, we'll talk about the beautiful Semyonovskoye-Otrada estate in the Moscow region.
The Semyonovskoye-Otrada estate is a large architectural complex. It includes a luxurious palace, outbuildings and outbuildings that encircle it, an ancient church, a mausoleum-tomb, a former landscaped park, a hydroelectric system of artificial ponds, and Swan Lake. Furthermore, the grounds once housed park pavilions, gazebos and bridges, artificial ruins, and a fountain, all now lost to time. And what about the wrought-iron gates by Bosse, the lion statues on the columns of the front gates, which later disappeared into obscurity? Today we'll examine the palace's current state, comparing new photographs with old pre-revolutionary postcards and illustrations of the estate.
