In this video, you will learn how to use superlatives.
To form superlatives, we add –est to the end of short adjectives, or ‘most’ in front of longer adjectives. Normally we use ‘the’ in front of superlatives as well. Some adjectives have different superlatives depending on what we are describing. For example, OLD: oldest = object/ eldest = family member.
After superlatives, we usually use ‘in’ with a singular word referring to a place or group. After superlatives, we usually use ‘of’ before plurals and before time periods such as year/month. The present perfect tense is often used after superlatives.
