The R7 260x is the BEST Budget Graphics Card! - 2019 Benchmarks Fortnite PUBG GTA V and More!
Today we take a look at the r7 260x which i find to be the best budget gaming graphics card you can buy in 2019! The results were honestly surprising and I would definetely recomand this card for anyone building a new computer.

Hello everybody and today well be taking a look at the best budget graphics card I have ever experienced, the r7 260x. Amd released this card in october of 2013 when they began to transition from the hd series to r5, r7, and r9 gpu naming schemes. There was a variety of cards released at the time, and the r7 260 x was one of them, costing about $140. This card appealed to those working with a tighter budget since it had very good price to performance value and was able to hold up in modern triple A titles ever since it was released.
Before I got into testing this card, I made sure to give it a thorough cleaning. There was not much information about previous usage for this card, but luckily, I didn't receive a disgusting graphics card It was completely clean, but still i gave it a good wash and reapplied the thermal paste. I originally bought this card for $30 off of ebay to be used in a budget computer system i was putting together for one of my friends. However, my friend eventually decided against following through with the build so I was stuck with a card that was essentially useless to me. However, that isn't saying that this card is useless, as it has aged well and can run most modern titles at an acceptable fps, even though some of the more intensive settings may need to be lowered to do so. Speaking of which, how about we head into out game testing and benchmarking today to truly see just how well the r7 260x has held up through the years.
To start off I tested the r7 260x on one of the biggest games of the year, fortnite. All games today were ran in the resolution of 1280 by 720 with differing settings. In fortnine, all graphics options were set to the maximum and yielded a flawless experience. My framerate software did not want to work with this game, but using the in-game counter i was able to approximate the performance. While in the air, the fps sat about in the lower forties, but while on the ground the frame rate was in the upper forties. Higher frame rates would be easier to attain if some settings were lowered a bit, but Still, fortnite ran well on this card.
Next up we have playerunknown's battlegrounds, or pubg. I ran this game with 2 different presets, ultra and medium. While on ultra settings, the frame rate was playable in the mid to upper twenties, but lowering the settings to medium yielded a boost up to nearly 60 fps. For this game, the recording was a bit stuttery, but in actual usage the gameplay was still somewhat fluid.
Afterwards i tested grand theft auto five (gta v) with all the high settings selected. I took a short tour about the city, so a higher frame rate should be expected in more rural settings of the map. Overall, I was very surprised by the frame rate, which managed itself in the mid fifties with superb fluidness and excellent performance. There was no stuttering during any of the gameplay, even after the wanted level increased and the action began to pick up.
Following that we have another esports title of rainbow six siege. On the contrary to previously tested games, the settings generally needed to be a bit lower than other games to achieve a fluid frame rate. I used the auto detect function for this game which selected a variety of medium and low settings which I then ran the game in. The framerate was one of the best recorded today, achieving an average in the lower hundreds and providing an excellent experience.
One of the last games I tested was counter strike global offensive which was released in 2012, 1 year before the r7 260x. This esports title has very minimal system requirements and this graphics card was able to run it with ease on its maximum settings without vsync. The average frame rate was in the mid nineties, and even though it did frequently fluctuate, there was no stuttering during gameplay.
