Something about the juxtaposition of [an app which literally has an insane amount of advertising power built into it] (via viral videos/products/etc) having the worst ads for the app is just bonkers to me. We can see small businesses sell out in minutes because a product of theirs goes viral. But the app itself would sit on some dusty ass shelf if TikTok's HQ had anything to say about it from the beginning.
