Another interesting bit of history.

Originally made for a Pi 3 with 1GiB of RAM, this was a fun prototype/demo of actually running a VM on the tiny Pi 3B+. Perhaps you were lucky enough to see this in the Dell/VMware booth at Mobile World Congress'19 in Barcelona?

It turns out the image boots fine on a Pi 4 as well (did you know the DWC2 USB controller is still present? it's just on the USB-C port).

Just contrast this with the "pretty normal" ESXi-Arm Fling available today for Pi 4, that can be managed with vCenter, backed up by Veeam, running regular-sized VMs, etc.
