✨Rusty best boy of 2023✨

! Lines are not repeated ! There were multiple takes and I included them.

I am aware of the minor audio issues, the extracted files already had those glitches so there's not much I can do.

This was incredibly time consuming to make due to the way the files are laid out. As such I will probably not make the Japanese version of this vid, and I will not be doing any other characters.
Here are the renamed files I made (english only). The numbering is not 100% accurate (and neither is my vid) but it’s close enough. I included the individual as well as longer mp3s that combine them together.

Here’s the process if you want to take a crack at it yourself.

1) Using UXM extract all audio files and convert them from .wem to something more useful OR download them here (already converted to .wav)

UXM: https://www.nexusmods.com/eldenring/m...

WAV files : https://drive.google.com/drive/folder...

2) View this list which assigns the gibberish file names to the dialogue. Rusty is npc013. You can tell what each jpn line is because it has the same “play_v” number as the eng line.

The list : https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/...

3) Create a spreadsheet that takes 123.mp3 and converts it to “hey_buddy.mp3” or whatever. Copy and paste these names from the list in step 2.

To do this you need to have columns that look like this
“ 123.mp3 “ | “ hey_buddy .mp3 “ =a1&b1&c1&d1&e1&f1&g1&f1 Each space here indicates a separate column

Make sure there are no illegal characters in the file name (you can look that up). I recommend using the find and replace feature to get rid of these illegal characters. *

Using the formula will output text that says “123.mp3”|”hey_buddy.mp3”

4) Then apply this formatting and formula to all the lines you need to rename. To do this, click and drag the little blue shape in the corner of the cell you want to “duplicate”, drag it down to the last line you have. This should fill the empty cells with whatever character was in the first cell, or automatically apply the formula. If this doesn’t make sense then watch an excel tutorial about file renaming.

5) Then copy the output of the formula and paste it into a .txt file without the table formatting. This is also the point where you number the files, I did this by hand, as they’re not in order. Some lines are grouped together, but you pretty much have to figure out the order by hand. As the list doesn’t go from earlier missions to later ones, it’s all mixed up.

You only need to number the new name which comes after the |
Example: “123.mp3”|”01_hey_buddy.mp3”

6) I used a program called bulk rename utility to rename the files. Do to this, navigate to you audio, select all with ctrl + A, then import the .txt you made, then rename the files.

7) Then edit all 233 files together 🙃

I was doing both the eng and jpn spreadsheets at the same time only to find out that bulk rename utility completely ignored the jpn files as I kept the original text. I would have to manually go back and replace all that text with the eng one, and tbh I don’t feel like doing that and then editing 233 files together again.
