New Machinery Regulation - What's new and when to comply

In June 2023, the new Machinery Regulation 2023/1230 was published in the Official Journal. It entered into force on July 19, 2023, and will apply from January 20, 2027.
The Regulation introduces changes to the previous provisions of the current Directive 2006/42/EC, including:
Obligations for machinery, related products, and partly completed machinery
Obligations of manufacturers, authorized representatives, importers, and distributors
Management of new risks associated with systems using artificial intelligence technologies (with reference to aspects related to cybersecurity and the management of robots and cobots)
Permitted formats for the use and maintenance manual
Contact methods with supervisory authorities
