Discover the Fascinating Fun of Calendar Command in Mac and Linux Terminal
Hi, Guys, I am Brandon from Brandon Tek Tak
I’ll show you something really interesting to those who are using Mac computers or any flavour of Linux OS.
On a Mac, you can press Command + Spacebar to open the spotlight search.
Type in "Terminal" and press the return key to Open the Terminal App.
Type echo $0 (case sensitive).
It will show which shell you are using. Usually, the output will be “bash, which is what we want.
If you type cal and press return, it will give you the current calendar (Feb 2024).
If you type the year after cal and press return, it will give you the calendar for the whole year.
Now the fun part. Type cal 1752.
You guessed right. It will give you the calendar for the year 1752.
Now you have a look at September 1752.
Anything unusual?
If yes, what is it and why is it so?
