'Distasteful' breast "milk "pump advert that compares women to cows sparks angry backlash
The ad for the silent breast pump has not gone down well with some people
Breastfeeding mums often face a lot of backlash - whether it's for feeding their babies in public places or posting honest pics of themselves nursing on social media.
Now a bizarre advert for a 'silent' breast pump created by Elvie has sparked outrage on social media - with some people slamming it as "strange" and "distasteful".
In the video, women are seen dancing around with cows in the background, carrying pumps used to milk the animals as they're compared with the farm animals.
The advert was posted to Elvie's Facebook page with the caption: "Breast pumping shouldn't make you feel like a dairy cow
"Introducing Elvie Pump, the world's first silent wearable breast pump. Cut those cords and sing along: "these are not udders, they're my boobs"!

The product slips into bras and claims to silently pump the breast - according to Elvie it holds five ounces of milk.

The ad shows women dancing around in a music video-style film with a song that goes: "Yes, I milk myself, but you don't see no tail... In case you hadn't noticed these are not udders, they're my boobs".

The chorus goes: "Pump it out, pump it out, I'm feeding them babies, pump it out, pump it out, I'm milking my ladies."
