Buttermilk Falls State Park Ithaca NY | Exploring Finger Lake Upstate
Before visiting Buttermilk Falls State Park in Itacha NY, I did not know Upstate New York is wonderful and stunning. While I traveled to Niagara Falls, that straight 8-9 hours drive from New Hampshire to Niagara Falls put a different image of Upstate New York in my head. I had no idea Upstate NY has many stunning waterfalls, lakes, and campgrounds. After visiting the Finger Lake regions in upstate, the image of NewYork has completely changed and Upstate NY has become the must-visit place in the USA.
Coming back to the Buttermilk Falls State Park, it is one of the best places to hike and swim. And i don't want to comment on the campground as i camped at Watkins Glen State Park. As Hiking in the gorge trail of Buttermilk was in my - Upstate NY Buckelist and luckily around 20-30 miles from Watkins Glen took me to Buttermilk. I did not have to pay for the entry as i already had a valid pass from the Watkins Glen Camping Registration but you need to pay $8 if in case, you don't have the pass.
Hiking the Gorge trail was actually easy even though the review says moderate, it is around 1.6 miles look. It took me roughly around 1 hour to finish the gorget trail hike. The trail itself was great and the view of the waterfall was amazing.
