Beginner Snowman Watercolor/Prismacolor Painting Tutorial - By Artist, Andrea Kirk | The Art Chik
Are you a beginner artist wanting an easy-to-follow, step-by-step tutorial? This fun, snowman painting tutorial is perfect! Learn how to first, draw the background and snowman, then I will teach you how to use watercolor pencils to layer the multiple colors for the sky, snowy landscape, and the snowman. Next, I’ll teach you how to enhance the colors and details using Prismacolor pencils. We will discuss: color building, shading, rendering, burnishing, and brush stroke techniques. I’ve provided a complete list of the supplies needed for this project (use them for best results). However, if you don’t have those supplies, regular watercolor paints and colored pencils will work just fine. Derwent Watercolor Pencils (at least the 24 pack)
Prismacolor pencils (at least the 24 pack)
Watercolor Paper (any brand)
Paint Brushes (small/medium square and one round brush). Specific brands/sizes mentioned in video.
Pencil Sharpener
Paper Towels
Water cup/water
#2 pencil and an eraser
