Can we achieve more accessibility? | Good question on barriers in buildings, language & structures
When we mention accessibility, we tend to think of steps and stairs. But there are many other barriers and obstacles that need to be overcome. Accessibility is essential for an inclusive society where everyone can participate equally in everyday life.
In this episode of “Good question", we look at what barriers to accessibility are, how buildings can be built more inclusively, and we consider how language is an important factor in enabling people to participate in public life. In addition, we will be looking at how neurodiversity can lead to obstacles in everyday life and how biomedicine could make prostheses faster and lighter in the future.
Our experts tell us about various obstacles to accessibility, as well as how to recognize and dismantle them.
