Good thing I kept Sony Vegas Movie Studio 11.0, or else I wouldn’t have been able to make this…
So here’s the deal.
I was able to render on Wednesday of last week, 12/3. I tried to render three or four days ago, and here’s what happens.
The project is 8 video layers and 1 audio layer in MV13P. It is less than five seconds long.
Whenever it gets to either 58, 60, or 62%, normally 60, it will give me an error that reads as follows from the bottom right of my computer screen
“Display driver stopped responding and has recovered
Display driver AMD stopped responding and has successfully recovered.”
If I click on it, then it doesn't do anything but go away.
After that, it remains at that percentage, and the approximate time counts down to 0. However, the elapsed time keeps going. When I try to close it, it says a “background process” is going on, and even if I say I want to close it, it won’t close unless I restart/shut off the computer.
I was able to render this project and a small one that was two layers and three seconds long, so it might just be MS13.
I have tried restarting the computer, updating MV13 from the April 30th and December update, installing a new driver from the HP website, saving the video file under a new name, rendering under different formats, checking my Norton security and making sure everything is fine, defragmenting my computer, and NOTHING IS WORKING…..
I can’t edit with MS11 because 1. It lags really badly 2. It’s only 4 layers. FOUR VIDEO LAYERS. 3. It takes 3x as long to render. It took me about an hour to render this, and it was 3 video layers and 1 audio.
I really don’t want to stop my YouTube editing, and I’m running out of options at this point. If I owe you a MEP part, then I will keep you updated as to if I can complete it. If I can’t fix this by the New Year, then I will probably drop ALL of my parts.
Please help! I appreciate it all!
