So this comic sucks and all. If you would like to read an actually GOOD military comic made by someone who served in the US military, I thoroughly recommend Terminal Lance, which is funny even if you weren't a marine. (He explains the context for each strip so if you're lost, just scroll down.) Most importantly though, creator Max Uriarte actually knows how to draw so nobody looks like they've just escaped from the horror dimension.

I also had the fun diversion of reading an academic paper about Funny Military Music Videos. I quickly grew fascinated by military music videos and the other silly videos soldiers on base or in war zones make (what compels people to make these? Why is it such a military thing? Has a war artist ever examined the reasoning behind them? I joked about writing a fanfic about PFC Howard and posting it to the Pentagon - but joke's on me because for some strange reason I ended up actually writing it.
