A Linguist’s SabbaticalHomes Experience | Research Travel Between Paris and Chad
Dr. Florian Lionnet shares his experience connecting with the SabbaticalHomes community while working abroad. During a visit to Paris, he met with SabbaticalHomes founder Nadege Conger to reflect on the realities of conducting academic research and navigating international travel during uncertain times. A linguist whose work focuses on studying and preserving endangered languages in Chad, Dr. Lionnet has relied on SabbaticalHomes to find homes and tenants while moving between research locations.
In his testimonial, he discusses how the platform has helped him maintain stability while pursuing important linguistic research across continents. His story highlights how SabbaticalHomes supports scholars conducting fieldwork and academic projects around the world, offering trusted housing solutions during both sabbaticals and extended research stays.
