Objective: that the brethren may appreciate the Lord and his excellence in His creation, focusing on us, mankind

Points to consider to appreciate the excellence of the Lord
1. The Lord is the best in everything- first, highest – v.1 – glory above the heavens
2. He can use the lowest, weakest of people for His glory – v.2
• consider how this show so much strength
3. He created the best of the best – everything – v.3
• Ordained – perfect complete creation
• Stats on creation - universe, earth, plants, animals, human – vv. 6-8
4. Focus is on mankind – man, human – vv. 4-6
• Greatest of His creation
• Made in His image - Genesis 1:27
• Passage also used to point to Jesus – Heb. 2
Message/conclusion:
Let us appreciate the Lord and his excellence in His creation, focusing on us, mankind
