Having bought an adult Alabai, the dog was found to have a problem with its ears.
The breeder/kennel cropped the ears incorrectly and the ear canal was almost completely overgrown; the dog developed inflammation of the ears - otitis, which greatly tormented her and could lead to further deafness. The dog underwent surgery to restore and reconstruct the ears.
