Some information about the resources at SCARC:
• Our primary collection strengths are: History of OSU, the History of Science, Natural Resources, Multiculturalism in Oregon, the OSU Queer Archives, and Hops and Brewing History. Our rare books collections spans the whole history of text and book production, from ancient cuneiform tablets (circa 3000 BCE), to illuminated manuscripts and modern artists' books, and we have a robust oral history program.
• SCARC is open to everyone! You don’t have to attend or work at OSU, and we’ve had researchers visit from all over the world.
• We offer access to our collections by appointment, and our staff are happy to help you at every stage of the research process, from finding materials relevant to your research, connecting you with subject experts, scheduling an appointment, and even providing remote access to our collections through digitization.
