Ever wondered, when you want to share a website, how android knows which apps to list as options to share? You may see, Twitter, Gmail and Facebook apps listed. Well, implicit intents play a roll here - with an implicit intent you open up your apps internal activity classes for use with any other app on your device. I show you how to register your app with the android OS to make itself available to other apps to carry out actions.
You will learn how, by editing and anding an intent filter to your manifest, to register which default android implicit intents and datatypes your app volunteers to handle from other apps on your device. You will see your app appear in the chooser menu of the web browser when you choose to share a website.
