Dealing With Grief On and Off Screen
The new short film by British director Michael Jobling, “The Walk”, which follows Amar (“Ali & Ava” star Adeel Akhtar) who, every Wednesday, endures a 24-mile round trip on foot to the Job Centre and back to sign on. Today the walk is particularly gruelling as he grapples with the recent death of his father and is avoiding a phone call he’s too ashamed to face.
