Violent Tornado Producing Thunderstorm (May 9, 2024)
Very early in the morning on May 9, 2024 one of the most violent thunderstorms I've seen in years hit Anderson County, SC. This clip was filmed right after the tornado sirens in town sounded. I didn't capture a tornado in my video but someone several miles away did so we know one passed relatively close to here. Although one of the dog pens was partially collapsed by a wind gust there was surprisingly little damage here. My electricity didn't go out at any point although some of my neighbors lost power as you can see in the video.
