In this isometric infographic, we said that recently the streets of Moscow have changed a lot: sidewalks have expanded, parking lots have been streamlined, there are many places for communication and relaxation on the streets and squares. Moving around the city was safe and comfortable. And all this we showed in the style of hand-drawn infographics.
But leaving the entrance, Muscovites do not notice the changes immediately.
It's time to put things in order in Moscow yards - and make them convenient for everyone!
The main problem that citizens face in a courtyard full of cars is the lack of security for themselves and loved ones. According to statistics, more often than others in incidents in the yards children and elderly people suffer.
All megacities face this problem, and in different parts of the world they approach it differently.
For example, the effectiveness of the concept of “joint space” has been proved. There are no priority participants in the movement, but everyone is comfortable, because the space is organized correctly.
And this is the concept of "zero mortality." It is believed that proper design can completely eliminate accidents on the road.
With the help of animated infographics, we showed that another solution is to organize the movement and parking zones in a new way and turn the yard into a place for walking and relaxing.
We studied the statistics and selected 12 typical courtyards in Moscow, where accidents with victims more often than others occur and showed all this in a video infographic.
After analyzing the data and studying foreign experience, specific proposals have been formed that will help to improve traffic safety in yards quickly and efficiently.
Among the proposals are changing the parameters of courtyard driveways, reducing the speed of cars, dividing flows and drawing attention to dangerous points. The solutions separately take into account the needs of parents with children, visually impaired and disabled pedestrians.
All offers are included in a special guide for designers, which is suitable not only for Moscow, but also for other cities of our country.
Changes will reduce the number of accidents and casualties, yards will become safer and more comfortable, and citizens will no longer be worried about themselves and their loved ones.
