This is my experiment with some different sounds on the Mesa Boogie Mark VII, and it is an updated version of my song "Lay't Down" from my first solo album.
The guitar for this video is my Ibanez J Custom RG8527 with Lundgren M7 pickups installed.
For the amp, the rhythm guitars are IIB mode, the lead guitars are VII mode.
I have a Boss OD200 in front as a boost and a Dunlop Dime wah. The intro before the full band kicks in is the IIB mode by itself, no boost. The rhythm sound for this song is less dense and cutting than I usually use, but IIB mode is just so much fun, I had to give it a go for this song.
The amp is going direct through my Suhr RL and I'm playing my own homemade impulse responses for rhythm guitar, and an Ownhammer IR for lead. There is an octave harmony on the first lead guitar as well. Delay and reverb added in post.
