Some say we need a separate National Anthem for blacks. But don't they know there were black hero's who fought in the war of 1812 and who fought in the battle at Fort McHenry on September 14th 1814 in the battle that our National Anthem was written about.
Black hero's who loved this country and fought and died for her. Such as Frederick Hall, a young black runaway slave who joined the U.S.Infantry under the fake name of William Williams and had his leg blown off by cannon fire the night Francis Scott Key wrote the poem that would later be turned into out National Anthem.
Hall died 2 months later from his wounds but it's said that over the years his ghost has been seen still walking guard duty at Fort McHenry.
