This included public escalators, improved infrastructure, schools, community centers, and a focus on arts and culture. Street art, music, and hip-hop became central to the neighborhood’s identity, turning Comuna 13 into a symbol of resilience, transformation, and creative expression. Today, it’s a popular destination for tourists who want to see its colorful murals, listen to local music, and experience its unique street culture.
