We go through a few practice exercises that make use of the async / await syntax in Javascript together. We get practice with how the timing works within async functions as well as a new way to actually time our functions using the Date Object. We look at async / await compared to vanilla Promises with a few more challenging examples towards the end as well.
We will be making ample use of this syntax as we progress through our Javascript journey, so mastering both vanilla Promises and Async / Await are crucial for helping us as we get deeper in to the world of Javascript and web development.
This is part of a series where we go over Javascript in depth to learn programming concepts as well as web development: • Javascript In Depth
