KORG SV-2 Ballad Magic, Christmas in Blue
This is probably my favorite patch on the new Korg SV-2. It's a gorgeous piano with a warm pad where the pad jumps down an octave in the bass notes. So it's the perfect go-to for ballads. A lot of combination patches are not balanced but this one gives the perfect amount of both sounds. And it just feels emotional when you start to play. Can't get better than that.
And this ballad? Blue Christmas by Elvis is one of my favorite Christmas songs, sad as it is. This Christmas means a lot of us have to be far from our loved ones. And getting older means we miss folks who are. no longer with us. Enjoy the music and here's to a meaningful and merry Yuletide.
