Rikomagic (or other generic) MK802+/MK802 teardown and possible antenna modification
Here I show you how to open your MK802+ or MK802 (NOT the MK802 II) to possibly re-locate or modify the mounting of the internal antenna, so as to improve the WiFi range and prevent the internal antenna from radiating back into the device - NOT GOOD.
PLEASE NOTE THAT I MADE AN ERROR IN MY NARRATION: I MEAN THAT THE **OTHER**, NON-CHIP SIDE OF THE PCB SHOULD BE SCREENED, AS IT IS THAT SIDE WHICH SITS AGAINST THE ANTENNA, NOT THE SIDE WITH THE CPU, RAM AND FLASH ON. APOLOGIES. ###
This could easily be achieved by laying some reasonably thick, self-adhesive plastic sheet over the NON-chip side of the pcb, and then laying some copper foil on top of that, and bonding it to ground using a short wire link.
