If misalignment persists, remove it to stop the leakage. This feature is intended to prevent drooling, a common issue with Inspiratory Muscle Trainers due to the back-and-forth movement and saliva displacement. Thus, it’s advisable to swallow after inhaling.
If this issue is particularly bothersome (as it is for some), try performing exercise 1 while lying down; instructions are available via the link below. Exercise 2 may also be more manageable if you maintain a forward gaze during the activity, as looking down can cause saliva to collect.
