Ringworm is a fungal infection of the skin that causes a red, circular rash. It can occur on various parts of the body, such as the head, face, or groin.

This disease can be transmitted through direct contact with an infected person or animal. Indirect contact with objects contaminated with the fungus can also transmit ringworm. Because it resembles a ring or circular worm, ringworm is also known as ringworm.
