The Guguletu Project
The mission of the Guguletu Project is to bring dancers from the townships of South Africa to the U.S. for the intensive study of ballet. Ballet training gives the children of Guguletu, a township on the outskirts of Cape Town, South Africa, direction and discipline. Ballet keeps them off the streets, physically active, and out of harm's way.
