How to demonstrate the use of a potentiometer using low-cost components. This setup is ideal for a beginning electronics or robotics class. In addition to the potentiometer, we use a USB power source, an LED voltage meter, a mini-breadboard, and some wire. The total cost is under $10. See my Beginning Electronics GitHub site for details.
